1979- Ray Yarbrough founds Certified Welding & Fabrication
- 2007- CPS Houston opens at 301 South Sheldon Rd.
- 2009- CPS completes its first major USACE piling project
- 2014- CPS builds second location, 126 acre Baytown facility
- 2017- Constructs indoor blast & paint booths enabling larger and more
complex projects - 2018– CPS recognized as Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies by
Houston Business Journal - 2019-2020- CPS awarded its first major LNG project and acquires API
double-joint rack systems - 2022- CPS designs and builds first portable pile splicing rack system and
launches field services - 2023- CPS performs work for three major LNG projects
- 2024- CPS obtains AMPP QP3 coating certification
- 2025:
- CPS obtains AISC certification with complex coatings endorsement
- CPS commissions its first fully portable API double joint rack system
- CPS introduces coal tar replacement coating products
- CPS’ fleet of semis grows to 13 trucks and additional overlength trailers added
- Adds new Victaulic grooving equipment with expanded size capacity
- Adds 14 acres new pipe storage at Baytown facility
- 2026:
- CPS earns AMPP QP1 certification, enabling field coating of complex structures.
- Adds Steelant installation at its Houston facility and in the field nationwide.
- Looking forward:
- 2026 Additional API double joint rack and new permanent building to be commissioned.
- 2026-7 Second Indoor Coating Booth & wheelblast machine to be commissioned at Baytown facility.
